Issue with wordpress

Hi,

I’m trying to connect a self-hosted WordPress site to Maton via the WordPress connection flow on maton.ai.

Setup:

  • Self-hosted WordPress
  • Jetpack installed and connected
  • The site appears in my WordPress.com account
  • Maton opens the WordPress authorization URL correctly:
    /wp-login.php?action=jetpack_json_api_authorization...

Problem:
When I click “Link WordPress Account” in Maton, a WordPress login/authorization window opens. I complete the WordPress login / 2FA successfully, but instead of returning to Maton and validating the connection, WordPress redirects me to my /wp-admin/ dashboard.

So Maton stays stuck on “Connecting…” and the WordPress connection is never completed.

Question:
Is there a known issue where the Jetpack JSON API authorization flow loses the callback/redirect after WordPress login or 2FA?
Do I need to whitelist any specific WordPress paths, disable a security plugin temporarily, or configure something specific for Maton’s WordPress connection to complete?

I’m using Solid Security and SiteGround cache/hosting, if that helps.

Hello, thanks for reaching out. We currently seem to be having issues connecting to some of the self-hosted WordPress sites. Can you send your Maton account email to support@maton.ai?
